To ensure transparent governance, scientific rigor, and coordinated enforcement, all members and partner organizations adhere to the formal IKB Taskforce Operational Framework.
1. Membership and Participation Principles
- Membership is open to designated representatives from governmental authorities, scientific researchers, accredited conservation NGOs, and experienced field experts.
- Members commit to sharing verified, accurate field observations regarding poaching incidents, illegal trapping devices, and trade violations.
2. Data Confidentiality & Responsible Reporting
- Exact geographical coordinates of sensitive breeding or roosting sites must be protected to prevent exploitation by unauthorized individuals.
- Field intelligence and violation reports are channeled directly to mandated enforcement bodies and official taskforce coordinators.
3. Field Safety & Code of Conduct
- All monitoring activities must prioritize field personnel safety and operate within the legal boundaries of Egyptian environmental law (Law No. 4 of 1994 as amended).
- Direct confrontations with poachers are prohibited; inspectors and observers must coordinate with official environmental police and ranger patrols.
4. Scientific Standard of Evidence
All reports must follow standardized data collection protocols, including accurate date, GPS coordinates, species identification, photo/video documentation, and estimated quantities.
