Checklist
The EORC will regularly publish updates of the checklist of Birds of Egypt. At the top of this page, you can download these updates (currently the 2019 updated checklist) in excel or in pdf format.
Concerning rarities
The EORC considers sightings of species with less than 10 previous records in Egypt, which are listed below, as well as all species not yet present on the checklist of Birds of Egypt. This list will be updated yearly to add species newly recorded in Egypt and delete those reaching the threshold of 10 records. In addition, the EORC will also consider records of 5 species with more than 10 records in the country, but restricted to the Hala’ib triangle, with no record in the current Western Palaearctic limits (following Cramp & Simmons). For these 5 species, only records outside the Halaib will be considered. Finally, the EORC will also ratify records of 5 species which produced more than 10 records in the past but are now extinct in the country.
